Description

Munechika, is recognized as a famous swordsmith of the 11th century, founder of the Sanjo school of sword making. He made remarkable swords, Among his many disciples are Yoshiie, Arikuni and Kanenaga Gojd. Myoju Umetada, who was a well-known sword smith in Kyoto in the 16th century, is said to be a descendant of Munechika.

Important Information !!!!,  it is easy to doubt the authenticity of this sword since having a munechica forged sword is like finding a needle in a haystack, this sword I acquired with this possible surprise but when I realized the signature and the antiquity of the blade, as well as the beauty of the sword I could not hesitate to get hold of it it was seen by several connoisseurs of ancient swords and none, could give an exact conclusion of it with which I can not assure 100% of the authenticity of it, although it was an imitation made at the same time can be understood as a treasure of the Edo period in Japan, I only wish that the one who is awarded this jewel knows how to value and enjoy it
